Weaknesses Cluttered interface is a collaboration software, made to help you manage your and your team’s tasks and workflow. You can say it’s your monday to-do list, but fancier. It was founded back in 2012 by Roy Mann and Eran Zinman. It has been growing significantly since then. Some of’s customers include Hulu, Universal, L’Oreal, Coca-Cola, Gameloft, BBC Studios, etc.

Let’s see what makes it so special:

Coming up are all the software's abilities that make it one of the best project management software out there.

Task Management

When you first launch this software, it will probably look like a spreadsheet on steroids. The modern design features a lot of colors. Although it might not seem like it, monday task management is reasonably easy to use.

The software offers a flexible and customizable way to manage workloads. You can keep track of every task and phase - deadlines, progress, people responsible. It makes it easy to see bottlenecks and react on time.

You can click on everything and drag it across the board. You can do most of the work without even using the keyboard. Also, you can customize every aspect of the interface. Once you set up your ground zero and enter all the necessary data, the software itself becomes very easy to use.

The software allows for several different views. You can choose to see files, maps, charts, calendars, and so much more. Like many other features, it is entirely automated. You just need to choose which one you prefer, and you can even vote for your favorite.

You can also choose the Kanban view. This card-based view can allow you to be more productive than ever before. time tracking will let you know how long every task lasted and get long-term statistics and analysis. However, this is available only for pro and enterprise tiers.

Team Management

What makes such a prominent software for work management? Not how it handles tasks but how it manages teams. The focus of this software is collaboration

It fosters collaboration and productivity through simplified communication with team members. You won't need to scroll through endless messages; every task has its chat.

The biggest issue remote teams face is communication. The inability to sort through every piece of information is fatal to many projects. Another problem is how always to be up-to-date and able to access the latest info. Monday planner resolves it by adding a chat button for every task.

The first phase is creating a new recruitment flow. It is then divided into tasks: drafting the flow, getting approval, creating materials. Everyone can track these tasks, see their progress and status. They can also take part in discussions. If you discuss who should approve the new recruitment process, you have a separate chat. Once you start creating materials, every team member can give feedback on the design.

Conversations aren't mixed up, so you can find your way around hundreds of messages. Team members can be tagged, respond, initiate discussion, etc.

External Communication boards are usually shared with team members. In some cases, certain company executives might have access as well. But you can also share them with your clients!

Of course, you can limit what they see, and they won’t be allowed to make any changes to tasks’ progress. However, they can have an overview, and that can be pretty useful - no more “How’s the project going?” and “Is this done yet?”

Advanced Features

Many repetitive features, present in most PM tools, are available in this software as well. But has its way to shine. Here’s what we came upon while researching for this review

Search Options and Templates

Once you start using the app, you will end up entering massive amounts of data, and your colleagues will do too. Let’s say you have taken a few days off, and you are coming back to work and notice many changes across the board. Surely it won’t take forever to catch up, but in some cases, you won’t even have a minute. This is why the highly sophisticated search function is something monday app can and should brag about.

Everything that saves time is a noteworthy feature. This is why we also need to mention templates. There’s one for every industry and you can customize them. They can also give you some ideas on how you can organize your tasks and improve your project.

If you are fluent in project management jargon, you probably know what a Gantt chart is. It is handy and present in almost any PM software.

Designers have taken it one step further and created a timeline. It is practically like a Gantt chart. Structurally, it looks a lot like the original one, only it has a modern simplified design.

Codeless Automatization

Unfortunately, not all of us can be fluent in code. When you are in charge of project governance, many minuscule, tedious, repetitive tasks need to be done. For example, inform your supervisor every time a phase is finished. Well, almost every review talks about this fantastic feature - automatization! You can simply give the software a task - if a stage is finished, email this person. Or, when this task is completed, move it here. The monday app can perform many if-then assignments that will save you a lot of time. It makes it stand out amongst other project management software Integrations and Apps

Almost any collaborative project management software can integrate with external apps and platforms. The integrations don’t disappoint. You can connect Monday with around 40 other apps, platforms, software, tools, and programs. The entire process is done in just a couple of clicks.

Some of the possible integrations include Microsoft Office, Outlook, Microsoft Teams, Dropbox, Slack, Zoom, Google Calendar, etc.

Ease of Use

The monday app has a very intuitive interface built on Excel spreadsheets’ logic. At first glance, all the colors and different options on the monday desktop app might confuse you. Don’t let that scare you; once you customize it, using it gets as easy as pie.

Almost every review mentioned how easy it is to use the monday app. Also,'s rating on Google Play is consistently above 4.5. There is no previous knowledge required to use the software. Just a bit of patience!

Knowledge Base and Customer Support

Almost every monday review speaks highly of the support team.

They are available 24/7, so make sure to put that to good use. You can contact customer support via the contact form left on the website. You can also go through the list of their FAQs. Besides, several video tutorials can help you with any doubts you might have.

Well, this is where it gets tricky. All of the reviews agree on one thing - it’s expensive.

There are five pricing plans. Here’s how it goes:

Up to 2 seats, unlimited boards, 200+ templates, mobile apps, and 20+ column types

$10.00/per seat/month

Everything from individual, plus timeline and calendar, sharing of boards, advanced search, 250 automations per month, integrations, and up to 5 boards per dashboard.

$16.00/per seat/month

Everything from Standard, plus private boards, chart view, time-tracking, 25,000 automations per month, more integrations, and 10 boards per dashboard.

Contact a company representative for more information.

Unfortunately, you can’t simply choose how many seats you want. You need to select from one of the available options, which are 3, 5, 10, 15, 20, 25, 30, 40, 50, 100, 200+.

This cost scheme drove away many potential users. Someone who has, for example, 70 people needs to pay for 100.

In addition, many reviews complain about the free trial period - it’s just 14 days. Since it's so short, you might as well use it to the fullest. If you take advantage of all the features, you can decide whether you should purchase some packages. Review - Verdict

This is a very slick, beautifully designed workload management app. It certainly left a good impression, while we tested it for this review. It can help you keep track of your projects, tasks, and deadlines.

This project management software fosters collaborations and teamwork. It also saves a lot of time with intuitive decisions and clever automatizations.

The cost is the biggest turn-off. It isn’t always affordable. Unfortunately, the free trial period probably won’t be long enough to help you decide.

The Monday task manager is worth the investment if you have remote workers or a huge workflow.
